Accepted: | Household garbage. Separate recyclables: cans/bottles/plastics 1-7 can be mixed together. News print, magazines and clean paper can also be mixed and cardboard should be broken down. Ashes also accepted. | |
Brush Dump: | Town of Mazomanie residents that have a transfer site permit can now dispose of their brush at the transfer site. This can be done during regular transfer site hours. At this time, disposal is limited to brush only. Please no leaves, grass clippings or large stumps. | |
NOT ACCEPTED: | Construction material. Latex paint (Special instructions for latex paint: Open the top of the can to allow paint to dry out. Then dispose of the can with your regular garbage.) Hazardous materials are NOT Accepted. Contact Clean Sweep at www.danecountycleansweep.com

MANDATORY: | You MUST separate and recycle glass, tin, aluminum, plastic (1-7) and paper items (cardboard, newspaper, office paper and magazines). Electronics with a cord (microwaves, toaster, small kitchen appliances) MUST be recycled on Electronics trailer (at no extra cost). | |
Additional fee required: | Tires ($7 – $50 depending on size), tv/computers, items with a screen ($20 each); carpet and carpet padding ($10 each); oversized items: mattress, box springs, couches, etc ($10 each) | |
NOTES 1. If you received a transfer site permit with your tax bill, the transfer site permit fee is included on your tax bill. No additional payment is due.2. If you currently don’t have a permit but would like one, send a check (payable to the Town of Mazomanie) or cash along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Town Hall, 711 West Hudson St, Mazomanie, WI 53560. 3. Annual cost will NOT be pro-rated for permit purchased later in the year. 4. RECYCLING IS MANDATORY. Failure to comply with recycling requirements at the transfer site may result in loss of permit. |
